Job Description

Are you passionate about live events and eager to start a career in the entertainment industry? Live Nation Australia is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for an Entry-Level Stagehand position in Esperance. No prior experience is required – we’re looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. This role offers an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of live production, from concert setups to theatrical performances. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, learn essential skills, and contribute to bringing captivating events to life for our audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of stage equipment, props, and set pieces.
  • Participate in the assembly and dismantling of stages, lighting rigs, sound systems, and other production elements.
  • Operate basic stage machinery and tools under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment backstage and in performance areas.
  • Follow directions from Stage Managers, Technical Directors, and other crew members diligently.
  • Assist with the movement of scenery, props, and equipment during live shows.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Perform general support tasks as needed to ensure smooth event operations.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively in a team.
  • Punctuality and commitment to show schedules.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures or a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience in a labor-intensive role or a strong interest in live events.
  • A valid driver's license.
