Job Description
Are you a natural people-person with a passion for hospitality? Novotel Footscray Resort is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Guest Experience Host to join our part-time day roster team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for ensuring their stay is seamless, enjoyable, and exceeds their expectations from arrival to departure. You’ll handle check-ins, address inquiries, provide local recommendations, and resolve any issues with professionalism and a friendly demeanor. This is an exciting opportunity to be a crucial part of our guest journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and assist with efficient check-in and check-out procedures.
- Provide comprehensive information about resort facilities, services, and local attractions.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Process payments, manage reservations, and update guest profiles accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organised front desk area, adhering to all resort standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments (Housekeeping, Food & Beverage) to fulfil guest requests.
- Handle phone calls and emails professionally, directing them to the appropriate department when necessary.
Required Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and friendly attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and willingness to learn property management systems (PMS).
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Ability to work various shifts on a day roster, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel front office or customer service role.
- Knowledge of the Footscray/Melbourne area and local attractions.
- Fluency in additional languages is highly regarded.
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate (or willingness to obtain).
