Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and reliable Cable Pulling Labourers to join our dynamic team in Gungahlin, ACT. This is a full-time, ongoing position offering excellent pay and a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, ensuring a great work-life balance. You will be instrumental in the installation and maintenance of vital telecommunications and utility infrastructure, working on various projects across the Gungahlin region. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting skilled technicians with the installation and pulling of various types of cables (fibre optic, copper, electrical) through conduits and trenches.
  • Preparing work sites, including setting up safety barriers and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Excavating trenches, digging pits, and backfilling as required, both manually and using basic machinery.
  • Loading and unloading materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Operating hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Following instructions accurately and contributing positively to team goals.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and environmental standards.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and bending.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in construction, civil works, or a similar labouring role.
  • Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
  • Current Australian Driver's License (manual preferred).
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience with basic hand tools and power tools.
