Job Description
Join the Woolworths Group team as a Cold Store Picker at our state-of-the-art Traralgon Distribution Centre. This is a vital role responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders in a chilled environment. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack products in a chilled environment according to order requirements
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts (if licensed), or other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform quality checks on products and report any discrepancies or damage
- Maintain a clean and organised work area within the cold store
- Adhere to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory management as required
- Meet productivity targets and contribute to team goals
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cold storage environment (temperatures typically between 0-5°C)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items repeatedly
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading orders and completing paperwork
- Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment, particularly in cold storage
- Current Forklift Licence (LF) or other relevant material handling equipment certification
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
