Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting way to earn extra income on weekends? Accor Hotels is seeking enthusiastic and reliable ‘Weekend Warriors’ to join our casual event staff team on the Gold Coast. This is a fantastic opportunity to work dynamic events, gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry, and be part of a vibrant team. You’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of various events, from conferences and weddings to concerts and private functions, all while enjoying a high hourly rate for your commitment and energy. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with event setup and breakdown, including moving furniture, setting tables, and decorating venues.
- Providing exceptional customer service to guests, answering inquiries, and directing attendees.
- Serving food and beverages efficiently and courteously during events.
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of event spaces throughout the duration of events.
- Operating basic event equipment (e.g., sound systems, projectors) as required after training.
- Collaborating effectively with event managers and other team members to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 15kg).
- Availability to work weekends, including evenings and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, events, or customer service roles.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of local event venues and services on the Gold Coast.
