Join the dedicated team at Bowen Hospital as a Part-time Hospital Orderly. In this crucial role, you will provide essential support services that contribute to the comfort and care of patients, ensuring the smooth operation of hospital wards and departments. You will assist with patient transport, movement, and general duties, playing a vital part in the patient journey and maintaining a safe and clean environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility, and positioning.
- Transport patients safely between wards, departments, and for procedures.
- Collect and deliver specimens, medical records, and equipment as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of patient areas, communal spaces, and equipment.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of linen and supplies.
- Provide basic assistance to patients, demonstrating empathy and respect.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and hospital policies.
- Report any observed issues or concerns to the appropriate nursing staff.
