Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory experiments and analyses following established protocols and GLP/GMP guidelines.
- Assist in the preparation of reagents, media, and other materials required for experiments.
- Accurately record, analyse, and interpret experimental data, maintaining detailed laboratory notebooks.
- Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Contribute to the optimisation of existing processes and the development of new methodologies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to scientific discussions and problem-solving.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and quality control procedures within the laboratory.
- Support the preparation of technical reports and documentation.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life science field.
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of basic molecular biology and biochemistry techniques (e.g., PCR, gel electrophoresis, cell culture, protein purification).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, statistical packages).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior laboratory experience through internships, university projects, or volunteer work in a research or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles.
- Experience with aseptic techniques and cell culture.
- Knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
