Job Description

Lendlease is seeking an enthusiastic and vigilant Entry Level Site Marshall to join our team in Hervey Bay. This full-time, on-site position is perfect for individuals with little to no prior experience, offering comprehensive training and a clear pathway for professional growth in site safety management. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control site access for all personnel, vehicles, and visitors, ensuring proper authorization and adherence to entry procedures.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the site to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, or non-compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of site-specific safety plans and emergency procedures.
- Provide basic safety inductions and briefings to new visitors and contractors, outlining site rules and emergency protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all site visitors, deliveries, and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with site management, contractors, and visitors regarding safety matters and site-specific instructions.
- Support the Site Supervisor in managing traffic flow and pedestrian safety on and around the construction site.
- Report all safety incidents, near misses, and identified hazards promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
Required Skills
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety principles (training provided).
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
- Capacity to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) is highly desirable but can be obtained post-offer.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in a role requiring vigilance, such as security, customer service, or site support (even if not in construction).
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and reporting.
