Job Description
An exciting opportunity for an aspiring real estate professional to gain hands-on experience in property valuation and real estate finance. This internship provides exposure to a wide range of property types and valuation methodologies, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic environment. You will contribute to market research, data analysis, and report preparation, playing a key role in the valuation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior valuers in preparing property valuations for various asset classes, including commercial, industrial, and retail properties.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis, including comparable sales, leasing data, and economic indicators.
- Collect, verify, and organize property-related data from various sources.
- Support the preparation of valuation reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Participate in site inspections and client meetings as required.
- Utilize financial modeling techniques to assist in valuation analysis.
- Contribute to ongoing special projects within the valuation team.
Required Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of real estate market dynamics and valuation principles.
- Experience with real estate specific software (e.g., Argus, RP Data) is a plus.
- Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate and property valuation.
- Holds a valid driver's license.
