Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Canteen Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our school canteen, providing healthy and delicious food options to our students and staff during term time. You will assist with food preparation, serving, cleaning, and maintaining a hygienic and welcoming canteen environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cooking of simple food items.
- Serve food and beverages to students and staff during recess and lunch breaks.
- Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and reconcile daily sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the canteen and kitchen areas.
- Wash dishes, clean equipment, and ensure food storage areas are tidy.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies.
- Adhere to all food safety and health regulations.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
