Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, both in-person and over the phone, providing comprehensive information on banking products and services.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and bill payments.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking solutions, such as personal loans, credit cards, mortgages, and investment products.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues with empathy and professionalism, escalating complex cases to management when necessary.
- Educate customers on digital banking channels and self-service options to enhance their banking experience.
- Adhere to all compliance, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all CommBank products, services, and operational procedures.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues as needed.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service or sales role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach.
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using banking software and standard office applications.
- A strong understanding of financial products and services.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing customer needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with CRM systems and financial planning software.
- Previous experience with Commonwealth Bank systems and processes.
