Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and physically fit individuals to join our team as Demolition Offsiders. This is an immediate start, full-time opportunity based in Osborne Park, Western Australia. As an Offsider, you will be crucial in supporting our experienced demolition crews on various sites, performing manual labour tasks, site preparation, and clean-up. This role is ideal for those looking to kickstart a career in the construction and demolition industry, offering hands-on experience and a dynamic work environment. No prior demolition experience is required, but a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled demolition workers with various tasks, including debris removal, sorting materials, and site preparation.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision in a safe manner.
- Perform general site clean-up duties, ensuring a tidy and safe work area.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety regulations, company policies, and work procedures.
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and senior team members diligently.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods.
- Must hold a valid Construction Induction White Card (or willing to obtain one immediately).
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a labouring, construction, or similar manual role is advantageous.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
- Forklift or other plant operation tickets.
- First Aid certification.
