Job Description

Are you looking for a stable, full-time role with weekly pay and a supportive team environment? Bega Cheese is seeking dedicated Dairy Factory Packers to join our Townsville operations. We are committed to producing high-quality dairy products and are looking for reliable individuals who take pride in their work.

In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and hygienic packing of our dairy products, ensuring they meet our strict quality standards before reaching our customers. No prior experience in a dairy factory is required, as full training will be provided. We supply all necessary clean gear to ensure your safety and compliance with food handling regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating packing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Performing manual packing and palletising of dairy products.
  • Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet Bega Cheese standards.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, adhering to strict hygiene protocols.
  • Assisting with general factory duties as required.
  • Following all food safety and occupational health and safety (OH&S) procedures.
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve production targets.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is a plus.
  • Current Food Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
