Job Description

KN Group is seeking dedicated and reliable Cable Pulling Labourers to join our dynamic team in Ballina, County Mayo. This is a full-time, on-site position offering high pay for a Monday to Friday schedule, ensuring a consistent work-life balance. As a Cable Pulling Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of telecommunications and power cables, working as part of a skilled crew. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently pulling various types of cables through ducts and trenches, assisting with site preparation, and adhering to all safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting skilled technicians and engineers with the installation of telecommunications and power cables.
  • Safely pulling cables through conduits, ducts, and trenches according to specifications.
  • Performing manual excavation and backfilling as required.
  • Operating basic hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assisting with the setup and dismantling of work sites, including traffic management where appropriate.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
  • Adhering to project timelines and quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding manual labour.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures.
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills.
  • Full, clean Class B driving licence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a construction, utilities, or similar labouring role.
  • Valid Safe Pass card.
  • Manual Handling certificate.
  • Experience with cable pulling techniques or equipment.
