Job Description

Are you a visionary leader with a passion for senior care? CareChoice is seeking an experienced and dedicated Aged Care Facility Manager to lead our Cork facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the aged care facility, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Manage, recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of care professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and respect.
  • Ensure full compliance with all HIQA regulatory standards, company policies, and best practices in aged care.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualised care plans tailored to residents' diverse needs and preferences.
  • Manage facility budgets, resources, and administrative tasks, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible resource allocation.
  • Foster a positive, compassionate, and engaging environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Engage proactively with residents' families, medical professionals, and external stakeholders, building strong relationships.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives, seeking innovative ways to enhance resident care and services.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a leadership or management role within an aged care or nursing home setting.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and team management abilities with a track record of developing staff.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of building rapport at all levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish aged care regulations, standards, and HIQA requirements.
  • Demonstrated financial management and budgetary control experience.
  • Proficiency in care planning, resident assessment, and clinical governance.
  • A relevant degree in healthcare management, nursing, social care, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • A clinical background, such as a Registered Nurse (RGN), with an active PIN.
  • Extensive experience with HIQA audits, accreditation processes, and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Additional certifications or specialisation in gerontology, palliative care, or dementia care.
