Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Air Con Offsider to join our busy team in Ballina, just in time for the peak summer season. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn the air conditioning trade, providing essential support to our qualified technicians on various installation, maintenance, and repair projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified air conditioning technicians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems.
- Prepare work sites, including setting up equipment, tools, and materials.
- Perform general labouring tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving equipment and materials.
- Clean up work areas and ensure all tools are properly stored and maintained.
- Support technicians by fetching tools, components, and following instructions.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies on job sites.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with clients and team members.
- Learn and develop skills related to the air conditioning trade under supervision.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy objects.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Commitment to safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
- Basic understanding of tools and manual tasks.
- Previous experience in a trade assistant or labouring role (advantageous but not essential).
