Job Description
Origin Energy is seeking highly skilled and experienced CEC Accredited Solar Installers to join our growing team in Parramatta, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Australia’s renewable energy future, working on diverse residential and commercial solar projects. Key Responsibilities
- Install solar PV systems on residential and commercial rooftops according to design specifications and Australian standards (AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS 3000).
- Conduct site assessments to confirm suitability for solar installations and identify potential challenges.
- Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation, and connection of solar panels, inverters, and battery storage systems.
- Ensure all installations comply with CEC guidelines, company safety protocols, and local regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation or service calls.
- Complete all necessary documentation, including job reports, photos, and compliance forms.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
- Adhere strictly to all WHS (Work Health and Safety) policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Current Clean Energy Council (CEC) accreditation for Grid-Connect PV Systems (Installers/Designers).
- Unrestricted Electrical License (e.g., A Grade Electrician in NSW).
- Proven experience in solar PV system installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of Australian electrical standards and solar installation best practices.
- Ability to work safely at heights and lift heavy equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working at Heights certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with various inverter brands (e.g., Fronius, SMA, Solaredge) and battery storage solutions (e.g., Tesla Powerwall, LG Chem).
- Experience with commercial-scale solar installations.
- Customer service experience in a field-based role.
