Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Water Market Analyst to join our dynamic Infrastructure team in Parramatta. This role is critical in providing insights into market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes within the water infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic planning, business development, and project execution for a diverse range of water-related projects. You will be responsible for data collection, analysis, and presentation of market intelligence to internal stakeholders, contributing to AECOM’s continued leadership in the Australian infrastructure market.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis on the water infrastructure sector, including market size, growth drivers, competitive landscape, and emerging trends.
• Monitor and analyze policy and regulatory developments impacting water utilities and infrastructure projects in Australia.
• Develop and maintain robust databases of market information, including project pipelines, investment trends, and key stakeholder activities.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and dashboards summarizing market findings and providing actionable recommendations for business development and strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers, to integrate market insights into project proposals and strategies.
• Support the preparation of bids, tenders, and proposals by providing relevant market intelligence and strategic input.
• Identify new business opportunities and support the development of client engagement strategies.
• Present findings and insights to senior leadership and external clients as required.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements and innovations in water management and infrastructure.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in market analysis, research, or a similar analytical role, preferably within the infrastructure, utilities, or environmental sectors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of the Australian water sector's regulatory and commercial landscape.

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience with GIS software for spatial data analysis.
