Job Description
We are urgently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Dockhands to join our team in Swan Hill on a casual basis. This is an immediate start opportunity for individuals who are physically fit, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics hub. As a Casual Dockhand, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments. Penalty rates apply for evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts, offering attractive earning potential for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading freight from trucks and containers manually or using appropriate equipment.
- Sorting, scanning, and staging parcels and pallets for distribution.
- Verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments against manifest documents.
- Operating pallet jacks, hand trolleys, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with team members and supervisors to meet operational targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items frequently (up to 25kg).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical fitness and stamina.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Current forklift license (LF or LO).
