Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Waitstaff to join our team for weekend day shifts. As part of Manuka Woodfire Kitchen, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service, ensuring every guest enjoys their visit to our trendy bistro. This role requires a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality. You’ll be responsible for table service, order taking, food and beverage delivery, and maintaining a clean and inviting dining environment. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and seat guests.
- Present menus and provide detailed information on specials, ingredients, and wine pairings.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using our POS system.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and gracefully.
- Clear tables and prepare them for new guests.
- Handle cash and electronic payments accurately.
- Ensure the dining area remains clean and organized.
- Respond to guest inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or cafe environment (minimum 6 months).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Availability to work weekend day shifts consistently.
- Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with POS systems (e.g., Square, Revel, Lightspeed).
- Knowledge of Australian food and wine.
- Barista skills a plus.
