Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Waitstaff to join our team for weekend day shifts. As part of Manuka Woodfire Kitchen, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service, ensuring every guest enjoys their visit to our trendy bistro. This role requires a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality. You’ll be responsible for table service, order taking, food and beverage delivery, and maintaining a clean and inviting dining environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and seat guests.
  • Present menus and provide detailed information on specials, ingredients, and wine pairings.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately using our POS system.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently and gracefully.
  • Clear tables and prepare them for new guests.
  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately.
  • Ensure the dining area remains clean and organized.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Required Skills

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or cafe environment (minimum 6 months).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Availability to work weekend day shifts consistently.
  • Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with POS systems (e.g., Square, Revel, Lightspeed).
  • Knowledge of Australian food and wine.
  • Barista skills a plus.
