Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Virtual Research Assistant to support our Academic & Market Research teams. In this 100% remote role, you will be instrumental in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to contribute to valuable insights for our clients and internal projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong research skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced virtual environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive primary and secondary research using various sources, including academic databases, market reports, online forums, and company websites.
- Collect, organize, and synthesize data from multiple sources into clear, concise reports and presentations.
- Assist in the development of research methodologies, survey questionnaires, and interview guides.
- Perform data entry, data cleaning, and basic statistical analysis using relevant software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R).
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and academic developments relevant to ongoing projects.
- Prepare summaries, literature reviews, and annotated bibliographies.
- Collaborate with senior researchers and project managers to ensure research objectives are met.
- Maintain meticulous records of research activities and sources.
- Contribute to the drafting and editing of research reports, white papers, and academic articles.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in conducting academic and/or market research.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with various research methodologies and data collection techniques.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience with statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python for data analysis).
- Familiarity with online survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
- Knowledge of academic citation styles (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago).
- Previous experience working in a remote team environment.
