Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Virtual Project Coordinator (IT) to join our dynamic team. This is a fully remote position within our tech industry sector, providing critical support to various IT projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects run smoothly, from initiation to closure, by coordinating resources, managing schedules, and facilitating communication among project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of project management principles within an IT context. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to impactful projects from anywhere in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist project managers in planning, executing, and closing IT projects.
- Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
- Liaise with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.
- Act as the point of contact and communicate project status appropriately to all participants.
- Prepare and distribute project documentation, including reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings, preparing agendas and recording minutes.
- Ensure adherence to project quality standards and company procedures.
- Support the project team with administrative tasks and ad-hoc requests.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role in the IT industry.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides or Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
