Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and motivated individual to join our team as a Vineyard Maintenance Worker for part-time day work in our regional vineyard near Traralgon. This hands-on role involves general upkeep and maintenance tasks to ensure the health and productivity of our vines. You will work closely with our experienced vineyard team, contributing to the quality of our premium wines. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and is looking for consistent part-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general vineyard tasks including pruning, vine training, and canopy management.
- Assist with irrigation system setup, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Conduct pest and disease monitoring, reporting any issues to the vineyard supervisor.
- Participate in harvesting activities as required.
- Maintain vineyard cleanliness, including weeding and debris removal.
- Operate small machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in vineyard work or general horticulture.
- Current Australian Driver's License.
- Experience operating tractors or other vineyard machinery.
- First Aid certification.
