Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable Utility Workers to join our mining camp support team in Bowen, Queensland. This entry-level position is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our remote mining facilities. As a Utility Worker, you will perform a variety of tasks essential for the comfort and well-being of our on-site personnel, contributing directly to the efficiency and safety of our mining operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the mining sector, providing a foundational understanding of large-scale industrial support services. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties within accommodation blocks, common areas, and dining facilities.
- Assist with kitchen duties, including food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Support laundry operations, ensuring clean linens and workwear are available for camp residents.
- Transport supplies, equipment, and personnel within the camp using appropriate vehicles (e.g., buggies, light trucks) as required.
- Conduct routine checks of camp facilities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Assist with waste management and recycling programs to maintain environmental standards.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Provide general assistance and support to other camp services staff as needed.
