Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Tour Manager to join our dynamic team in Broadbeach, Queensland. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of live music and entertainment tours, ensuring seamless execution from pre-production through to post-tour wrap-up. The successful candidate will be a meticulous planner, an exceptional leader, and an expert problem-solver, capable of managing complex logistics, budgets, and diverse teams in a fast-paced environment. This role requires extensive travel and a deep understanding of the live entertainment industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all logistical elements of assigned tours, including travel, accommodation, venue advanced planning, and equipment transportation.
- Develop, manage, and reconcile tour budgets, ensuring financial accountability and adherence to spending limits.
- Create and maintain detailed tour schedules, itineraries, and production timelines.
- Lead, motivate, and manage tour personnel, fostering a positive and efficient working environment.
- Act as the primary liaison between artists, management, venues, vendors, and internal teams.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges and unforeseen issues that arise during a tour.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and security protocols.
- Handle all necessary administrative duties, including contracts, permits, payroll, and comprehensive reporting.
- Oversee accurate settlement procedures with venues and promoters at each tour stop.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in tour management within the music or live entertainment industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in complex logistical planning and execution.
- Proven ability to manage significant budgets and financial reporting.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating diverse teams.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.
- High level of adaptability, resilience, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with relevant tour management, scheduling, and budgeting software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Event Management, or a related field.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Heavy Rigid (HR) or equivalent commercial driver's license.
- Experience with international tour logistics and customs regulations.
- Established network within the Australian music and entertainment industry.
