Job Description
Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can learn new skills and contribute to a bustling team? Bunnings Warehouse in Traralgon is seeking a motivated and physically capable Timber Yard Hand. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are keen on manual work and looking to kickstart a career within the building materials industry. We provide comprehensive training, so no prior experience is necessary – just a great attitude and a willingness to learn!
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently handle, sort, and stack timber and other building materials.
- Assist customers with loading timber and products onto their vehicles.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe timber yard environment.
- Operate various yard equipment (training provided).
- Perform general duties as required to support the yard team.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to perform manual labour, including lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical or outdoor work environment.
- Basic knowledge of timber products or building materials.
- Current forklift license (advantageous, but training can be provided).
- Valid driver's license.
