Job Description
Are you looking for an easy-going, entry-level role in a bustling cafe environment? Merlo Coffee in Fortitude Valley is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Cafe Runner. No prior experience is required – we’ll provide all the training you need! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in hospitality, learn the ropes from a supportive team, and become an integral part of our daily operations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages to tables efficiently and accurately.
- Clear tables promptly, bringing used dishes, cutlery, and glassware to the dishwashing area.
- Wipe down tables, chairs, and other surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Restock condiments, napkins, and other table supplies as needed.
- Support the front-of-house team with general cleaning tasks, ensuring the cafe floor is tidy.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and tidying the dining area.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace throughout your shift.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure smooth service.
