Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Systems Integration Specialist to join our dynamic IT Projects team. This is a high-impact role crucial for the successful delivery of complex IT initiatives across Telstra’s vast infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust integration solutions, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality between disparate systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement integration solutions using various middleware technologies and APIs.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other technical teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform detailed system analysis, data mapping, and architectural design for integration projects.
- Develop and maintain integration documentation, including architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and test plans.
- Conduct rigorous testing of integration solutions to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members on integration best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues in production and non-production environments.
- Stay updated with emerging integration technologies and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in systems integration and IT project delivery.
- Proficiency with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Camel, or similar.
- Strong experience with API design (REST, SOAP) and microservices architecture.
- Expertise in data formats like XML, JSON, EDI, and various communication protocols.
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native integration services.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in relevant integration technologies (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Developer).
- Experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for integration deployments.
