Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and energetic Supermarket Assistant to join our team for casual night roster shifts at our Carnarvon store. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are available to work evenings. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our store is well-stocked, clean, and ready for our customers the following day, contributing to an excellent shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Replenish shelves with stock, ensuring correct placement and rotation.
- Assist with receiving and unloading deliveries during night shifts.
- Maintain a clean and organised store environment, including aisles, display areas, and backroom.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely (training provided).
- Assist customers with product location and basic enquiries when required.
- Process returns and damaged goods according to company policy.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Work efficiently and collaboratively as part of a night shift team.
Required Skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in stock management.
- Good physical stamina, capable of lifting and moving heavy items.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or supermarket environment is an advantage.
- Experience with stock replenishment and handling.
- Current forklift or pallet jack license (desirable, but not essential as training will be provided).
