Job Description
Join the Coles Distribution Centre team in Morwell as a Voice Picker. This ongoing, full-time role offers a dynamic work environment where you will play a crucial part in ensuring our stores receive products efficiently and accurately. Utilising a state-of-the-art voice picking system, you will be responsible for locating, picking, and preparing orders for dispatch, contributing to the seamless flow of goods through our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate voice picking equipment to accurately locate and pick products within the distribution centre.
- Ensure products are picked, stacked, and prepared for dispatch in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock rotation and cycle counts.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily productivity targets and deadlines.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently, if licensed and required.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced distribution centre environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for understanding instructions and checking quantities.
- Physical fitness, including the ability to lift, carry, and move various products.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre, or logistics environment.
- Prior experience with voice picking systems or similar order fulfillment technologies.
- Current Forklift (LF) or Order Picker (LO) licence and demonstrated experience.
- A positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
