Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Student Drafting Intern to join our dynamic team in North Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity for a current student passionate about architecture, engineering, or construction to gain hands-on experience with Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes. You will work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to real-world projects and developing valuable skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior drafters and engineers in preparing detailed architectural and engineering drawings using Revit.
- Support BIM coordination efforts, including clash detection and model maintenance.
- Create and modify families and components within the Revit environment.
- Ensure all drafting work adheres to project standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and translate them into accurate technical drawings.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Basic understanding of BIM principles and workflows.
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Architecture, Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical), Construction Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience with other design software (e.g., Rhino, SketchUp) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
