Job Description

Are you looking for an opportunity to kickstart your career in logistics and supply chain? Glencore is offering an entry-level position as a Storesperson Offsider in our Mount Isa operations, where full training will be provided. This role is crucial to supporting our extensive mining and processing activities, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and equipment. You will work within a dynamic team, learning all aspects of stores operations, inventory management, and logistics support. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods and materials.
  • Support inventory management through accurate counting, recording, and stocktakes.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely (training provided).
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment in the stores area.
  • Process documentation related to goods movement, including picking slips and delivery dockets.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials to internal customers.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines meticulously.
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
  • Valid Australian Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment (not essential, but valued).
  • Forklift license (LF class) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
