Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Stable Cleaner to join our team for morning shifts. This is a crucial role ensuring our horses’ living spaces are pristine and hygienic, contributing directly to their health and well-being. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily mucking out of horse stalls, ensuring cleanliness and fresh bedding.
  • Replenish hay and water buckets, maintaining consistent supply and cleanliness.
  • Sweep and maintain the cleanliness of stable aisles, tack rooms, and feed areas.
  • Assist with basic horse handling and moving horses within the stable as needed.
  • Monitor horses for any signs of distress or health issues and report immediately to management.
  • Support in general stable maintenance tasks, including tidying and organizing equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and animal welfare guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks, including lifting and bending.
  • Reliability and punctuality, particularly for early morning shifts.
  • Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • A genuine love for horses and a compassionate approach to animal care.
  • Basic understanding of stable routines and horse behaviour (or willingness to learn quickly).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a stable or with horses.
  • Knowledge of equine health and safety practices.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to operate basic farm equipment (e.g., wheelbarrows, small tractors).
