Job Description
Join the Fredon Group as a Sparkie’s Helper and kickstart your career in the electrical construction industry! This entry-level position is perfect for enthusiastic individuals with no prior experience who are eager to learn the ropes of electrical work on active construction sites. You will work closely with qualified electricians, providing essential support that ensures projects run smoothly and safely. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop practical skills, and understand the fundamentals of commercial and industrial electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with various tasks, including pulling cables, installing conduits, and preparing materials.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials around the job site as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Learn and adhere to all site safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform basic tasks such as cutting, bending, and securing materials under supervision.
- Help with the installation and dismantling of temporary site power and lighting.
- Support the team in troubleshooting and rectifying minor electrical issues.
- Attend toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Follow instructions diligently and ask clarifying questions when needed.
Required Skills
- No prior electrical experience required – full training provided.

- White Card (Construction Induction Card) – essential for site access (can be obtained prior to start).
- Valid Australian Driver’s License and reliable transport.
