Job Description
Join G4S Australia as a Site Security Marshall for casual night shifts in Hervey Bay. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in security, offering comprehensive training and support. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment, conducting patrols, monitoring surveillance equipment, and responding to incidents during overnight hours. We are looking for reliable, vigilant, and customer-focused individuals who can work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned sites and premises during night shifts.
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems for any suspicious activity or breaches.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
- Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Enforce site rules and regulations to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors or staff as required.
- Perform access control duties, verifying credentials for entry and exit.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter unauthorized activities.
- Liaise with emergency services when necessary.
Required Skills
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and monitoring systems.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound judgments under pressure.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for night shifts.
- Valid Australian driver's license (preferred, but not strictly required for all sites).
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Security Officer Licence (Class 1) or willingness to obtain one upon employment.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a customer service or security-related role.
- Knowledge of local security protocols and procedures.
