Job Description
Join GrainCorp as a Silo Operator Assistant for our upcoming seasonal harvest in Wagga Wagga! This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Australia’s vital agricultural industry. You will be an integral part of our operations team, supporting the efficient reception, storage, and out-loading of grain during peak season. This role is physically demanding and requires a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe and efficient operation of grain handling equipment, including augers, conveyors, and elevators.
- Perform visual inspections of grain quality during receival and out-loading processes.
- Monitor grain levels in silos and bunkers, reporting any discrepancies.
- Participate in general site maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including confined space entry and working at heights protocols.
- Assist with sampling and testing of grain as required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet operational targets.
- Operate weighbridges and complete necessary documentation accurately.
- Support the preparation of grain for dispatch, including loading trucks and trains.

- Current forklift license (LF Class).
- First Aid certification.
