Job Description
Join the Angelakis Bros. team as a Seafood Processing Hand in our state-of-the-art facility in Port Adelaide. We are looking for dedicated individuals to contribute to our mission of delivering premium seafood products. This role operates in a chilled environment, ensuring the freshness and quality of our produce from receipt to dispatch. No prior experience is necessary – we provide comprehensive training for the right candidates who possess a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and process various types of seafood according to quality standards and specifications.
- Prepare seafood for packaging, including filleting, de-scaling, gutting, and trimming.
- Operate and maintain processing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations in a chilled environment.
- Assist with packing, labeling, and quality control checks of finished products.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring compliance with sanitation protocols.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a chilled environment for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles (training provided).
- Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food processing or a similar production environment.
- Knowledge of seafood handling and preparation techniques.
- Current Food Handling Certificate.
