Job Description
Join the ABC Digital Media team in Townsville as a Scriptwriter Intern! This placement offers a unique opportunity for an aspiring writer to gain hands-on experience in developing compelling content for digital platforms. You will work closely with experienced producers and content creators, contributing to a diverse range of projects from short-form video scripts to podcast narratives and interactive digital stories. This is a chance to hone your craft, understand the nuances of digital storytelling, and make a tangible contribution to a leading national broadcaster.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in brainstorming and developing creative concepts for digital content projects.
- Draft, revise, and refine scripts for various digital platforms including social media videos, podcasts, and web series.
- Conduct research to ensure accuracy and authenticity of content.
- Collaborate with producers, editors, and other team members throughout the content creation process.
- Provide constructive feedback on scripts and storylines.
- Participate in team meetings and creative sessions.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

- A portfolio or samples of creative writing (scripts, short stories, articles, etc.).
