Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and physically fit Scaffolding Yard Hand to join our dynamic team in Dandenong. This is a manual, hands-on role perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are looking for a stable, full-time position with weekly pay. You will play a crucial part in the efficient operation of our yard, ensuring scaffolding equipment is organized, maintained, and ready for dispatch. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a career in the construction support industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload scaffolding materials onto and from trucks and other vehicles.
- Organize and stack scaffolding components in the yard according to company standards.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing equipment for damage and report any issues.
- Clean and maintain scaffolding equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Assist with inventory management and stocktake procedures.
- Operate basic yard equipment safely and efficiently (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment in the yard.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and manual labor.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Must have valid Australian working rights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or construction environment.
- Basic knowledge of scaffolding equipment.
- Current forklift license (LF or LO class).
- White Card (Construction Induction Card).
