Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically fit Roofing Labourer to join our team in Renmark, SA. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and are committed to maintaining high safety standards. You will play a crucial role in assisting skilled roofers with installations, repairs, and general site duties, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality. Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided, along with comprehensive safety training.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of various roofing systems.
- Safely load, unload, and transport roofing materials and equipment on-site.
- Prepare work areas by setting up safety barriers, tarps, and ensuring clear access.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including daily debris removal and material management.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including consistent use of provided PPE.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Perform general labour duties as required to support roofing operations.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 25kg) regularly.
- Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and meticulously.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transport to the job site.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction, manual labour, or a similar outdoor role.
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) – essential for working on Australian construction sites.
- Basic understanding of roofing materials and techniques.
- First Aid certification.
