Job Description

Are you looking to start a rewarding career in the construction industry? Swan Hill Roofing & Construction is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Roofer’s Assistant to join our growing team. This is an entry-level position perfect for individuals with no prior roofing experience who are eager to learn the trade. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced roofers with various tasks on residential and commercial sites.
  • Help with the preparation of work sites, including setting up safety equipment and materials.
  • Load and unload roofing materials and tools.
  • Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Perform general labour duties as required.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Support the team in achieving project deadlines and quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and climbing.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Basic understanding of English for communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid Australian Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card) – desirable but training can be provided.
  • Previous experience in a manual labour role (any industry).
