Job Description
Fulton Hogan is seeking motivated and reliable Road Marker Helpers to join our night shift team in Parramatta, NSW. This is a critical role supporting our experienced road marking crews, ensuring the clear and safe demarcation of roads, car parks, and public spaces. As a Night Work Road Marker Helper, you will play an essential part in maintaining road safety and efficiency during off-peak hours, contributing to high-quality infrastructure outcomes. This role offers excellent hourly rates and the opportunity to develop valuable skills in the civil construction sector. We value safety above all else and provide comprehensive training to ensure all team members can perform their duties effectively and securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist road marking crews in the setup and pack-down of work sites, including signage and traffic control measures.
- Prepare surfaces for marking by cleaning, sweeping, and removing debris.
- Help operate and maintain road marking equipment, under supervision.
- Assist with the application of various road marking materials (paint, thermoplastic, raised pavement markers).
- Ensure accurate measurement and alignment of markings according to plans and specifications.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform general laboring duties as required to support the road marking process.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and following instructions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team during night shifts.
- Reliable transportation to and from various work sites in the Parramatta area.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety (or willingness to learn rapidly).
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Previous experience in civil construction or general laboring.
- Experience working night shifts.
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Class C or higher).
- Traffic Control or Implement Traffic Guidance Plans (ITGP) accreditation.
