Job Description
Are you looking to kickstart your career in a dynamic retail environment? Bunnings Warehouse in North Lakes is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Entry-Level Retail Warehouse Hand to join our friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience to learn the ropes of warehouse operations, contribute to our busy store, and enjoy the benefits of working for a leading Australian retailer. You’ll be responsible for handling goods, maintaining inventory, and ensuring our store shelves are well-stocked for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory safely and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse and storage areas for optimal space utilization.
- Assist with picking and packing orders for customer collection and delivery.
- Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies or damaged goods.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment (training provided).
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist store team members with moving stock to the sales floor.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment in the warehouse.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
- Commitment to safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment (not mandatory, but a plus).
- Current forklift license (beneficial, but training will be provided if needed).
- First Aid certification.
