Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Retail Stockist at our Wetherill Park store. This casual position is perfect for someone looking for flexible work hours and the opportunity to contribute to a bustling retail environment. As a Stockist, you will be crucial in ensuring our store shelves are well-stocked, organised, and appealing to our customers. You’ll be part of a friendly team, helping to create a positive shopping experience and maintain the high standards Kmart is known for. This role offers excellent staff discounts across our wide range of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and organise incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately.
- Replenish stock on sales floor shelves, ensuring products are correctly displayed and priced.
- Maintain a clean and organised backroom and stockroom area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Support visual merchandising efforts to ensure products are presented attractively.
- Adhere to all health and and safety guidelines and company procedures.
- Provide support to sales associates and customers when necessary, ensuring a smooth shopping experience.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise regularly (up to 15kg).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment is a plus, but not essential.
- A passion for retail and customer service.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
