Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Technical Writer to join our dynamic software and engineering team. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation for our cutting-edge products and solutions. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and support teams to ensure our documentation meets the highest standards of accuracy and usability for a diverse global audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, SDK guides, release notes, and online help content.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and QA specialists, to gather information and validate technical content.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adhere strictly to established documentation standards, style guides, and terminology to ensure consistency and brand alignment.
  • Participate in product reviews and testing cycles to provide valuable feedback on user experience, usability, and clarity of features.
  • Manage documentation versions, publication workflows, and content updates in various formats and platforms.
  • Proactively identify documentation gaps and propose solutions to enhance the overall user experience.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Technical Writer, specifically within a software development or engineering environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a strong ability to articulate complex technical information clearly.
  • Proficiency with modern documentation tools such as Confluence, MadCap Flare, Oxygen XML, Markdown, or similar.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and explain complex technical concepts and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and software development lifecycles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, English, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with API documentation, particularly for RESTful APIs or SDKs.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of technical writing samples.
  • Experience with video tutorials or other multimedia documentation formats.
