Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Poultry Farm Hand to join our team in Shepparton. This role involves various indoor tasks within our modern poultry facilities, ensuring the health, welfare, and productivity of our flocks. If you have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and are comfortable working in a farm environment, we encourage you to apply. This is a full-time position with weekly pay.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily health checks on poultry and report any issues to supervisors.
- Monitor feed and water systems to ensure optimal supply.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of poultry sheds and equipment.
- Assist with the movement of poultry within the farm.
- Follow strict biosecurity protocols to prevent disease.
- Operate basic farm machinery and equipment safely.
- Assist with general farm maintenance tasks as required.
- Adhere to all animal welfare standards and company policies.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
- Attention to detail and observation skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a farm environment, particularly poultry.
- Knowledge of basic animal husbandry.
- Forklift license (preferred but not essential).
