Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Piling Labourer to join our heavy infrastructure team in Maryborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant civil engineering projects, working on the foundations that underpin critical infrastructure. You will be an integral part of a dynamic team, assisting with all aspects of piling operations, ensuring project timelines are met and safety standards are upheld. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Piling Rig Operators and other team members with day-to-day piling operations.
  • Prepare and clean work sites, ensuring all equipment and materials are organised.
  • Handle and move rebar cages, concrete, and other construction materials.
  • Support the setup and dismantling of piling equipment and tools.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently as directed.
  • Maintain a high standard of safety, adhering to all WHS policies and procedures.
  • Perform general labouring duties as required on site.
  • Participate in site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to quality standards and project specifications.

Required Skills

  • Proven physical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to WHS regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Basic understanding of construction site operations.
  • White Card (Construction Induction Card) is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience on civil construction or piling sites.
  • Experience operating small plant or machinery (e.g., skid steer, forklift).
  • Current HR or HC driver’s license.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Basic rigging or dogging ticket.
