Job Description

Uniting is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals for the role of Personal Care Offsider – Entry Level, Social Care. This position is perfect for someone with little to no prior experience in the field, offering comprehensive training and a supportive environment to grow. As a Personal Care Offsider, you will play a crucial role in assisting our clients with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This is an on-site role, directly impacting the lives of individuals in the Orange community. Key Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care tasks, including showering, dressing, and grooming.
• Supporting clients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment where necessary.
• Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
• Providing companionship and engaging in social activities to promote client well-being.
• Observing and reporting any changes in clients' physical or mental health to senior staff.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Documenting care provided accurately and timely.

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care, Disability, or Home and Community Care).
• Current NSW Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Previous experience in a volunteer capacity within a care setting.
• Understanding of cultural diversity and person-centred care principles.
