Job Description
Join Anglicare Australia as a dedicated Part-time Personal Care Assistant in Whyalla. This vital role involves providing direct personal care and support to our clients, assisting them with daily living activities to enhance their independence and quality of life. You will be an integral part of our morning roster team, delivering compassionate care within a supportive NFP environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Assist clients with medication reminders as per care plans.
- Support clients with light domestic duties and meal preparation.
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship.
- Monitor and report any changes in client condition or concerns to the care team.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and organisational policies.
Required Skills
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and reliable transport.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in aged care or disability support.
- Experience working within a not-for-profit organisation.
- Knowledge of local community services and resources in Whyalla.
- Flexibility to work additional shifts if required.
