Job Description
Are you bursting with energy and love making kids smile? Waikiki Play Centre is seeking a dynamic and highly energetic Party Host to lead our children’s birthday parties! As a Party Host, you will be the heart of the celebration, responsible for creating a fun, engaging, and memorable experience for birthday children and their guests. You’ll lead games, facilitate activities, and ensure every moment is filled with excitement and laughter. If you’re outgoing, enthusiastic, and thrive in a lively environment, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Enthusiastically greet birthday children and their guests upon arrival.
- Lead engaging party games and activities, ensuring all children participate and have fun.
- Manage party flow and timing to ensure a smooth and successful celebration.
- Serve food and beverages to party guests in a timely and cheerful manner.
- Maintain a clean and organised party room before, during, and after parties.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
- Address parent inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver an exceptional overall experience.
Required Skills
- Exceptional high energy and enthusiasm for working with children.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and entertain groups of children of various ages.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- A positive attitude and a passion for creating joyful experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a role involving children (e.g., camp counsellor, childcare, recreation leader).
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one.
- Basic first aid certification is a plus.
- Experience in hospitality or customer service.
